Laurie is a professionally trained healer who graduated from the Barbara
Brennan School of Healing (BBSH) in 1996. She completed the Teacher
Training Program at BBSH and has been on the BBSH Faculty since 1998.
BBSH is a four year intensive program in the study and certification of
Integrative Professional Healing Science. Laurie served as the Director
of Student Affairs at BBSH from 2002-2004. She is also a BIP (Brennan
Integrative Practitioner) and a Supervisor for graduates and students at
BBSH. Laurie teaches Energy Healing workshops throughout the world.
She is also a 1991 graduate of the Carolina School of Massage Therapy in
Carrboro, NC.
Laurie is a skilled and sensitive energy healer and massage therapist who
brings compassion, safety and a high level of integrity to her work. Her
deep grounding to the earth, coupled with her strong sense of the Divine,
create a powerful vessel in which you can heal on all levels of being.
How does energy healing work?
As quantum physics tells us, everything in the universe is energy; even
that which we call "solid matter" is simply very dense energy. All human
beings have an “energy field” and this field is "an underlying
blueprint" for both physical and emotional health and well-being or disease.
Energy Healing is a gentle yet powerful holistic method of restoring
health to our physical emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. Through a
variety of techniques on and off the body, healing sessions clear, balance,
charge and repair the body's energy field. This affects all the systems
and organs of the body. Energy Healing integrates seamlessly with
traditional medicine to promote health and may be especially effective
with conditions that do not respond to allopathic treatment. Energy
Healing sessions can address the underlying causes of disease (disruption
in the body's energy fields) by restoring balance to the underlying conflict
out of which the physical symptoms arise.
